NEMA 2006

Not long ago, well over 10 years to be exact, a little know company out of California merged, then the scourge of mountain biking, the cycling short with a baggy short. Since then Nema have been defining their own path in the world of riding apparel design and fashion. Many other companies have followed their lead and ideas...now we have decent clothing to wear every ride.

Stu Fingerhut recently sent us some sample 2006 wears...If you're of Scottish descent, I'd get your order in now...

Nema Crown Sonix Jersey

As part of the Crown Collection, the Sonix jersey is one of Nema's latest jersey's. For freeriders by freeriders. The Sonix is a 3/4 length riding jersey with no zippers or pockets.

     • 3/4 length sleeves
     • Ventilated side body panels
     • Screened NEMA/Crown logos

Nema Crown Rayal Shorts

Basically as close to wearing kilt on your bike as possible. Nema's Crown range is taking more than a few design cues from Scotland. Check out that tartan (or plaid in US speak). I think I got married in that one...For Freeriders, by Freeriders. Worn by Mike Kinrade, George Ryan, Joe Schwartz and jon_e.

Nema Pivot Shorts

As part of the sheild range the new pivot short is cut similar to the Rayal and big enough to cover those viking bibs. Pocketless these are a no fuss option for those who want a lightweight heavy duty wearing short...oh and check the Argyle styling on the left leg panel...is Argyle the new Burberry?

Nema FSTX Socks

Socks are socks, right? Yeah sort of but most mtb socks are of the short little ankle affairs, whereas these Nema FSTX's are a hell of a lot longer. A triple height sock built for the rigors of Freeride or backcountry mountain bike riding. Poly-cotton-lycra blend

 

Right now we're not sure who's doing Nema in the UK but you can bet you'll be seeing a little bit more of them soon...
